Maldon’s Phoenix Building circa 1906 was designed by renowned architect Louis Boldini, and constructed in 1906 during an era defined by the gold rush, the Majestic Phoenix Buildings sit high at the top of the town, looking over the enchanting Maldon Main St. You are minutes from all the town has to offer.
Purchased in 2021 by Lynn and David, Maldon Locals of 33 years, The Phoenix Loft reflects their vision to restore and evolve the historic Phoenix Building for future generations. Passionate about supporting their community, with local trades and retail they've meticulously curated the space. The result is a testament to local pride, ensuring each visit resonates with the spirit of the town they've cherished for decades. Lynn and David know the local area well, ask for any guidance during your stay in this CBD treasure.
Keys
You have 2 keys, one for the Templeton St entrance. The second key opens the building access and is also the stairwell entrance into the loft. Please make sure you have your keys with you when you are unloading your car.
Parking Access and Courtyard
The Loft is located in the upstairs of the middle shop in the PHOENIX building. Parking is street parking in Templeton st . As you enter you will see a sign on the gateway ahead ‘Maldon’s Phoenix Loft Entrance”. The area you walk through to get to this gate is an old stables very unique part of history. However, both side buildings are rented and private. Please to do not enter into any of these buildings.

Maldon is graced with 2 Hotels, 2 independent funky bars with music, 5 cafes, a Sourdough Bakery with pastries and a coffee window right next door to the Loft. A fish n chip shop. A local IGA and a local petrol station both open 7 days. You have everything you need right at your fingertips.

Doggies, we want to ensure you have an enjoyable stay too!
Phoenix Loft is really only appropriate for small to medium dog breeds. There is a small grassed area in the courtyard and a bin, with poop bags provided. Whilst this area is secure, it is shared with another business. There is an anchor point to secure your pet when you’re out but please don’t leave them for too long as there is no shelter available.
We kindly ask that you keep dogs off the furniture, particularly the bed and bed linen. Please remember to bring your own dog bed to ensure your furry friend has a comfortable spot to relax!

Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.
Deposit of 50% non refundable is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the client's acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 7 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it.
Cancellation if caused by the client, money paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If it a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 cancellation fee will apply.
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 11 am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.
Disturbance to neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
Smoking within the cottage and external buildings is not permitted.
Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.
