The Maldon Easter Fair is Australia's longest-running continuous community Easter heritage festival, while the much-loved Maldon Folk Festival, running for more than half a century, continues to attract music lovers and visitors from near and far.

For a taste of the region's railway history, step aboard the Victorian Goldfields Railway, Victoria's longest broad-gauge heritage railway, connecting the historic gold-mining towns of Castlemaine and Maldon along a railway line dating back to 1884.
